5 Picks is a basketball drafting game for fans of NBA history. You draft all‑time rosters by team and era, then watch a deterministic simulation engine play the game out — head‑to‑head against a friend online, or solo against the computer.

How it works

• Pick a side and snake‑draft players from real team‑and‑decade pools.
• When the draft is done, both players run the exact same deterministic engine, so you both watch an identical game unfold.
• Results feed Elo ratings and leaderboards.

Where the data comes from

Player statistics are built from publicly available sources — primarily Basketball‑Reference via a public‑domain (CC0) dataset — then processed into era‑relative ratings. 5 Picks is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA, its teams, or its players; all names and marks belong to their respective owners.
